Last Friday I heard the Japan earthquake when I was on the way to a duty. When I watched news on TV after one day I realised how serious the earthquake this time. When I came back to Germany, some colleagues from airport asked me how Japan is now and if China has influenced from this earthquake etc questions.
When I walk on the street in Germany, many young boys say hallo in Japanese to me. Maybe to them all the Asian faces are Japanese, or because they have big influences by Japanese culture. Anyway, as a foreigner living in Europe, I feel closer when I see an Asia face on the street, even though they are not Chinese.
These days Martin and I keep watching the news on TV or on the Internet about the earthquake. The biggest impression I got is that even though the situation is very bad for Japanese, but they looked very calm. Many of the woman are still good dressed and wore some make up.
Hope they will get over the hard situation very soon.
An example of how natural forces can overcome the best planning of any rich, technologically advanced country.
ReplyDeleteI also hope for the best outcome.
