China post just delivered to me my passport with Germany visa.
Now the door of Germany is totally open for me. This was so quick, from 5th's interview to today, it only took 18 days to get it. The type of visa I applied is Family Reunification.
In November of 2008 when Martin confirmed the time to go back to Germany, we decided to register for marriage just to make the visa process more easier. We got registered to marriage in Chengdu on 4th of December 2008. We are planning to have the wedding ceremony in China in October of 2009, we both will take that day as our marriage day.
Yesterday Martin already booked my flight tickets for Frankfurt on 5th of March. He will leave for Germany on 29th of January and start his new assignment within the same company at the beginning of Feb..
Very fast! You are already going to Germany in March? Auf weidersen!
ReplyDeleteWow! Very exciting and congratulations. This is the beginning of a great new adventure!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you and Martin.
Vivi

Lingling, Hi,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! For the many of us like Wolfgang who have followed you since the beginning, this is another happy turn in your journey.
It wasn't long ago when you started the blog and shared with us, your disappointments with not getting a job as an airline stewardess, then the good news of getting hired by this logistics company and going for training in the UK (your first time out of China), the long stretch of good and stressful things working in Beijing, and meeting your fiance.
Now coming to the end of one adventure and soon beginning a new one in a new country, learning a new language, in a new life; truely you are living your blog's motto...a reminder that life is a mystery, and a gift.
Best wishes, and much happiness!

Hi Ling Ling,
ReplyDeleteWell, I agree with Peter's thought, and had it yesterday evening, that you indeed have a time of finding life a 'present'.
It's a little strange, though, as I'd written you a nice note yesterday, which I was sure had posted. But today it is missing, so whatever the problem, I say again my best wishes to you and Martin.
Regards,
Clive
