Miaoyan Eating Barbecue

I have been back from Sichuan for a week and I was very busy for the past week. I didn't have time to do updates as well as respond to emails from my friends. I also forgot to bring my camera back from my hometown, but I have some pictures which my sister had taken with her camera.

The first thing I want to show you is my niece. I know you haven't seen her for a year and here you will see how she has grown up. She is getting prettier and more thoughtful. Its always wonderful to have a little kid around you and it takes me back to my childhood again. After few months, I am going to be the aunt of two babies. Oh...I am getting old....

  1. You are getting old? She was 37 when we got our first baby. That's the way it is. You cannot plan everything always.

My goodness, that child looks cute. Still, my daughters looked even better at that age. They are half Chinese ...

    It's all in the eyes.

Cute niece! But, are those blonde pigtails in the cap?
Is the yellow hair to scare away evil spirits - perhaps an ancient Chinese custom?

    Hi Ling Ling,

Just a short one as must go for today's work, but I have been thinking something, so will say.

I think we all enjoy your posts, and find interest in a nice way. You've contributed a lot, and may be developing other interests too.

What I am thinking is how important conversation is - which means it matters when you reply to notes.

This can attract new persons, and maybe also gain you ideas for later posts - it's kind of a circle; at least seems so to me.

You mentioned maybe having some problems replying a while back, but I tried it recently with a similar test blog on blogspot, and it was fine. Only if there is some reason there why it might not work, which is possible I suppose.

Anyway, I know you will do what is best, and spring is coming ;). Good wishes for you to have some really enjoyable times in it.

    Kind regards,
    Clive

What the previous post is hinting at is that the Blogger is not apparently responding to the readers of her blog and that this doesn't encourage further dialogue or interest.
